Back to School?

Nope - haven't fallen off the face of the earth, just wrapping up my blogging for Lifeclectic and enjoying as much of a vacation as one can manage with a toddler. Homeschooling moms - lemme hear ya! Do you homeschool? Why? Did you try and decide it wasn't for you? Discuss! Click here for the blog I wrote about it - I'd love to hear your thoughts.

  1. Homeschooling is SO for us...most of the time. There are some days, to be sure, when I dream of sending them off for just a FEW hours...holy crap, when you homeschool, they're with you all. the. time. BUT...we started homeschooling with GirlChild #1 because she missed the kindergarten cut-off by two weeks and she was waaaay too ahead to wait another year. So I figured, "I'll homeschool her for kindergarten...really, how hard can it be!?" and then maybe send her to first grade where they didn't have that pesky cutoff date (just a test they had to take). Four years later, I have a 4th grader, a 3rd grader, a 2nd grader and an ankle-biter who delights in getting in my way. I wouldn't do anything else; it is so so so great for our family.
